Chaos and Moonlight (Order of the Nines Book 1)

Chaos and Moonlight (Order of the Nines Book 1) - A.D. Marrow Wow! what a great book. I am probably one of the biggest fans of paranormal romances and with all of the paranormal books out there about vampires, it's a really tough competition. But this one comes at you from a new angle.

In most books the vamps are portrayed as soulless, burdened with pasts filled with bloodlust, damned to roam the earth for the rest of their days. But A.D. Marrow shows them off as creations of God, just above the humans on the the foodchain yes but not invincible. With the same emotional needs for love and family as humans, longer lifespans but not indestructible. They get hurt the same, love the same, want children the same, are betrayed by loved ones the same. I loved the whole naturalness of the species. Being mutually beneficial to the other, coexisting.

And as with humans, where there are good guys, there are bad guys. Some hardened, indifferent, sadistic to perfection and there are some who can feel guilt and remorse, who can acknowledge their past sins and who are looking to redeem themselves.

This series has started off with a bang and I for one am hooked. I mean deep, deep hooks. So I shall be bouncing on the edge of my reading chair, waiting as patiently as possible until the second book in the series is released.
