Oh my goodness, this book is as heartbreaking as it is sweet. Thorn and Rose are the epitome of sacrifice and acceptance. Both are willing to give up the other so they can have a better life. Little do they realize that having each other in their lives is what makes life worthwhile. I loved the character of Father John. The world-wise sage, the guiding presence in Thorn's life. If there is an award for a second chance story, it's definitely going to this book.ARC provided in exchange for an honest review
