Always in a typical "judge a book by its cover" situation Keaton Holt has till now taken advantage of the women who have approached him and given freely of themselves.s He's explored a myriad of experiences with these adventurous women but now he wants something more substantial and he can't seem to figure out why he's always attracted the "wrong" kind of girl.
This is a hilariously yummy book, I kept switching between tea and coffee and craving scones which are very uncommon where I come from, plus when you lead a low-carb lifestyle... Mr. Amooi that part was just not fair. Harvey is a hoot! The open mic disaster with the I'm too sexy dance was too much. And Jack and Kenneth's bromance woohoo. As always Rich Amooi's book never fail to entertain. Can't wait till this one is in audiobook format so I can gift it to my mom.
Ludan and Brenna are characters that have intrigued me since Book 1 and I'm so excited that they have their own book. The prophecy has been at the heart of this series and everyone's story has revolved around it. But Brenna's role in it was probably the most surprising. Tortured and damaged she shies away from any form of interaction. so deciding the fate of both the races is not something she's prepared for.
This book is a sweet little story about a girl with big dreams and a cowboy who can't afford to dream big. Rosie Linn has a dream job in a chocolate shop but she has a bigger dream of being a writer in LA. Having spent most of her young life taking care of ailing parents, she is now ready to spread her wings and make a place for herself in the world.
Another wonderful installment in this terrific series. Daisy and Mark are so good together that it's like a match made in heaven. But their career choices stand in the way of a perfect relationship. Each having experienced heartbreak of the worst kind has made them wary of opening up again. But something keeps drawing them back towards each other, and the can no longer deny what is fated. If only they can let down their guards long enough to overcome the obstacles that stand between them
This is a cutie pie of a story about a woman finding her place in world. After a heartbreaking divorce, Finn has been pushed by her grandmother to travel around and find a place in the country that she feels she belongs to. When she lands in Vine Grove she immediately feels and home and hopes it is a place where she can put down roots. Keaton just happens to be an added bonus to the whole place. But her happiness is threatened when an obsessive admirer begins to turn up wherever she goes and this might just be the one thing that prevents her from finding her happily ever after.
Yikes, what a bunch of Alpha men and each different from the other. Bossy, bad boy and broody. Those are the names I've given to Quinn, Rush, and Zane, the Redmond brothers. Each brother deadly in his own right. This book is fast paced and action packed. And let's not forget Zane's dominating romancing of Iris Callahan, who is on the run from both the law and the drug cartels. Zane has made it his mission to protect her and keep her safe while having to deal with his overbearing brother Quinn and "don't give a damn" brother Rush. Explosions and Fireworks galore!
This is such a sweet story. It looks a bit into the stigma that athletes face, especially those that are part of physical sports. It also delves into the effects of domestic abuse and how it's survivors can re-establish a successful life if they are determined and have the right support. A lovely story about second chances at love and life
An unusual PNR story. I'm a big fan of all things mythology and folklore and this book has quite a bit of Egyptian mythology and African folklore. For me, this is new because I have not ventured into these particular myths till now. I love the concept of witches and their familiars being soul mates. Tha is also a new one for me. Overall I enjoyed this book quite a bit and had a bit of a tough time putting it down. There is plenty of action and drama and a whole host of unusual preternatural creatures that PNR fans will enjoy.
I'm not a big fan of books that are in the first person unless it is in a dual perspective. I tend to find them a bit monotonous, the character rambling on and on about their life. Initially, I felt the same about Pink Lies. The Charleston half of Scarlett Hanes' life kept me wondering when this story would take off. But once "the call" comes in that's where the fun begins. Everything that happens after is a bucket of giggles and snorts because I felt that Scarlett was a tad silly when it came to men. But she's good at her job and that is her biggest asset. In spite of her silliness with all the friends she makes, she is one lucky girl to escape by the skin of her teeth and bag the guy as well.
Oh man! what a season finale. As far as I'm concerned everyone gets EXACTLY what the deserved, whether good or bad. Lots of happy endings and a good helping of "take that" in this last episode. I'm not giving any spoilers in this review. It just HAS TO BE READ, it's that good.
