We've known Cash since book 1. He is the charming cowboy that just won't settle down. We met Emma Frank towards the end of book 2 when her abusive, drunk on an ex-husband attempted to shoot her and ended up in jail. Book 3 is all about Cash and Emma. And what better man than Cash to be the one for Emma. After being battered and broken for years she needs the gentle charm and kindness of exactly such a man. Cash is the way he is for reason that will be revealed in this book. We see a very different side to the man who captured hearts with a smile. OMG! he just makes you melt.

I love this series because it reminds me so much of my father who was one of the pioneers of sports fishing in my country. So much of the terminology is familiar from my childhood when he was teaching us what he knew.

Lured in is Finn and Jessie's story. I think the are going to be my favorite couple of this series. Jessie's backstory intrigued me in the first book and I found her friendship with Finn very endearing. Seeing them together in this book made me very happy. In spite of being cranky and grumpy the patience and care he shows Jess is adorable. Of course, his trust issues create problems but I can understand Jess' lack of confidence considering her childhood. This is a pretty great book and one that I would never hesitate to recommend.

OMG the monster is back! And Dakota and Joanne fall back into old patterns. Just when everything was looking so much brighter. Sebastian is back to his manipulating ways and puts Ginny in a tizzy by threatening to file for custody of her child for his own personal and political gain.

Angst and manipulation run rampant in this episode. The Rushes are playing every underhanded card to boost their numbers. Logan is trying to escape their manipulative web while Ginny still pines for him. And oh hell Hector is making his way back to Storm.

Though Joanne Alvarez is thriving in her new job Marcus is still doubting himself. His and Brittany's worlds are too far apart. But Ian Briggs' coming to town makes life just a tad easier. Anna Mae Prager is having trouble with adjusting to the fact that Chase Johnson is back in Storm.

The Johnson family seems to have a history of clashing brothers. With Tate and Tucker at loggerheads over Hannah, things get stirred up some more with the arrival of Zeke's older rolling stone of a brother Chase. Animosity runs rampant among the Johnson men while the women try to keep the peace. Travis is finding it harder to leave as Celeste spins out of control, leaving Kristin waiting in the sidelines once again.

Wow, an alpha female for once and she meets her match too. Elyon and Max are the ultimate power couple. But that little cliffhanger there in the end has really got this cat all curious. What have you guys got up your sleeves hmm?

A sweet story with an equally sweet HEA. Jane Eyre Sinclair (yes from the Bronte novel) is in a fix. The man who is supposed to be her only family is gunning to destroy her and what is left of her family. She needs the name and protection of John Alexander. She knows his secrets and blackmail is the only way to convince him to marry her. But fate declares Jane as John's mate and in spite of not ever wanting to be tied down her finds being bound to her the only thing that feels right. So Jane doesn't have to try very hard. But once he realises her intention behind all the arm twisting, nothing can stop him from claiming her and eliminating every threat and hardship that she and her brothers may face.

This book is a tale about the reality of living in the spotlight. What I liked about this book is that the relationship aspect was not all rainbows and roses. It never really is in real life. And especially not so with couples in the spotlight. Adultery is a huge reality in celebrity circles. And the attitude towards women who fall under crew, cheerleaders, backup band etc unfortunately do get used in the way they are in this book. I just wish they'd realise this and stop allowing themselves from being stereotyped and objectified that way.

A lot of the supposed "perks" that these celebrities enjoy are the major factors that contribute towards their lack of success in real relationships. They are so used to the hero worship and having everyone at their beck and call, they tend to forget that they are accountable for their actions and that real people have real feelings.

What a charming side to Torrent. One wouldn't be able to tell his true nature from the first book. In fact I wanted to whack him upside the head. But he meets his match in Candy. She is definitely the girl who deserves a second chance and Torrent is well on his way to giving it to her before he lets his arrogant self get the better of him. But in the end he comes to his senses and does the right thing thanks to Julie and Coal.

Yay what an awesome conclusion to Cass' story though that cliffhanger there at the end is intriguing. I can't wait to see what Ms Hall has in store for Del. And I'm dying to know more about the Triumvirate and the past involving them.
